De’Longhi releases updated All-in-One Combination Coffee Machine

De’Longhi just released its updated All-in-One Combination Coffee & Espresso Machine for $349.95 in the United States and $399.99 CAD in Canada. This machine is an evolution of a platform that the brand has kept in its lineup for more than ten years. The new design has a 20% smaller footprint and includes a built-in, retractable cold frother. The machine combines a 15-bar pump espresso maker with a full-capacity drip coffee maker to handle various drink routines and provides six different drip coffee sizes: an 8 oz. mug, a 20 oz. travel mug, a half carafe, or a full 12-cup carafe. You can choose between Classic, Bold, Cold Brew, and Over Ice recipes. For espresso, the programmable settings allow for customizable single and double presets to make lattes, cappuccinos, and other cafe favorites at home. I find the decision to base this heavily on a decade-old platform underwhelming for a "reimagined" product.

Milk and brewing tech

The machine has an adjustable, two-setting steam wand to create everything from silky steamed milk to microfoam for latte art. This wand works with dairy and plant-based alternatives. A separate, built-in, retractable cold frother whips up thick, cold foam for iced lattes, cold brew, and matcha topped with protein cold foam. You can also brew smooth cold brew in minutes using the dedicated settings. The Thermoblock heating system with electronic temperature control provides fast heat-up times and temperature stability to ensure the espresso has a balanced flavor. An intuitive front-panel touch display provides programmable settings to adjust volume and personalize coffee. Eliza Woolston Sheffield, President of De’Longhi North America, says the new features reflect how consumers’ tastes and routines have changed while staying true to the quality and Italian craftsmanship that define De’Longhi. The dual-shelf system accommodates everything from espresso cups to tall travel mugs or latte glasses.
